Adelaide Fringe is the world's second-largest fringe, and it is coming to a close on the 22nd of March. One of the highlights of this fringe is the Honey Pot, which is like a job fair for producing entities and shows. Each week, delegates from around the world, representing festivals, venues, producers, managers, and theatres, connect with artists whose work might be a good fit for their programs. For artists, it's crucial to keep in mind that only a small sliver of the delegates will be a good fit for your show, but the connections are invaluable. If you are considering attending Adelaide Fringe, Honey Pot is a remarkable opportunity. Now on to our reviews of incredible shows presented at the Adelaide Fringe in 2026.

THE PINK LIST- RECOMMEND
An anthem for the queer community and a beautiful reminder that love never fails and is the hope that conquers evil. Musical theatre fans, this one is for you!
THE WORST OF US- RECOMMEND
Tenderly explores the monsters we carry within, providing hope that we can still be loved. Underscored with moving music. The lighting creates an intimate, welcoming space.
WHY ENGLISH?- RECOMMEND
An important piece of theatre giving us insight into what it feels like to be an outsider in your own country. I left the theatre with more than when I came in. Vibhinna’s crowd work is lovely.

DUST- MUST SEE
An astonishing work that bridges the past to our present, showing us the beauty and pain of our ancestors. A story that keeps not only the work of miners alive, but also their lives. For anyone connected to the mining community, DUST is a must see.
FEAST OF WORDS- MUST SEE
If you see one fringe show this year, let it be FEAST OF WORDS. The combination of stories, food, and a beautifully candlelit courtyard creates space to absorb the stories and reflect on your own life. This evening showcases the power of the arts.
HANNAH MAXWELL: BABYFLEAREINDEERBAG- MUST SEE
Maxwell draws you in from the moment you walk in. An honest commentary on the cost of being an artist. Eye-opening for audiences, and a piece that speaks to the beauty and trials of following your dreams.
MY GRANDPA DOESN’T FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM: A GUIDE TO TRANS-GENERATIONAL ROAD-TRIPPING- MUST SEE
A stunning and breathtaking tale of love, acceptance, and JOY! Yoz masterfully creates a story filled with endearing characters and a depth of honesty.

NUN SLUT- MUST SEE
The most tasteful nun slut you’ll ever meet. Claire brilliantly builds to laugh-out-loud explosions of hilarity. This show will have you howling Hallelujah and Amen, and then slapping on a G-string.
THE SOAKING OF VERA SHRIMP- MUST SEE
A touching story told with compassion and heart. Beautifully directed and acted. Bring your tissue and leave filled with hope.
WHY I STUCK A FLARE UP MY AR** FOR ENGLAND- MUST SEE
A high-octane coming-of-age story that will have you laughing hysterically and then grabbing a tissue. Alex is a gifted young actor and performs at the highest level.
WRIGHT & GRAINGER: SELENE- MUST SEE
Poetic storytelling at its best. Meg brings an energy that captivates, and you can’t take your eyes off her. The audience interaction is brilliant, and by the end, everyone is ready to join.

A few other shows I was able to catch but not review for various reasons that deserve a shout-out: ORPHESUS (in the Mortlock Library), THE PILGRIM, TOO CLOWNS, and TOO MUCH. Additionally, I performed in TOD TALKS and IMPROV BATTLE ROYALE, which were both so much fun.
The bottom line here is: go see fringe shows. Support artists, many of whom are self-producing. You never know, a fringe show may just change your life.
