ABOUT REVIEWS
What the Fringe?! attends festivals throughout the year where we see incredible fringe shows, visit with artists, and provide short reviews. We strive to provide a positive space for artists and celebrate the best of what they are doing.
What about the star system? It’s great to get a 5-star review, we know- but it’s crummy to get 1. Thus, we do not use the star system. We aim to provide reviews of what is working in a production and assets to help artists further the growth of their work. And... we’ve been known to drop a cheeky joke or two.

ABOUT LAUREN
Lauren Hance is passionate about creating spaces for people to connect, which is why she started What the Fringe?! A fringer herself, Lauren is the writer and performer of Holy O, an immersive dramedy currently touring fringe festivals worldwide. Lauren is based in Houston, TX. She is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild of America and holds a BFA in Theatre and a MAT in Theology, Arts, and Culture.
